The focus of his work is on international foreign trade consulting and services for industry and trade. Mr Brunner has over 25 years of experience as a consultant in the international trade of goods and supports industrial customers with difficult questions regarding compliance with import and export regulations, as well as many years of leadership and management responsibility with a regional focus on Northern, Southern and Eastern Europe, Asia, the Middle East and North America.
Before founding Exportwirtschaft ICS in 2017, Mr Brunner was managing partner and company founder of REF Europe GmbH from 2015.
Until March 2016, Mr Brunner was Managing Director of M&M Militzer & Münch GmbH, responsible for the German business, and was a Member of the Group Management of M&M Militzer & Münch International Holding St. Gallen.
Before joining the Militzer & Münch Group in 2012, Mr Brunner was a member of the management of Hellmann East Europe GmbH & Co. KG.

As a customs and export officer, he has had extensive responsibility and mastered the challenges of export control law, including dual-use and embargo inspections as well as compliance with Russian sanctions and US export regulations.
Mr Baumbach has extensive expertise in the implementation of customs and trade compliance processes as well as in the digitalisation of customs processes. He has also successfully developed and implemented automation strategies to optimise efficiency and compliance.

Hendrik Appel

Hendrik Appel is a trained industrial clerk with several years of experience as a customs and export officer in the industry. He has continuously expanded his skills in this field through further training as a specialist in import and export processing and an upcoming qualification as a certified business administrator (IHK), coupled with continuous further training.
Mr Appel has extensive knowledge of export processing, including the preparation of export documents and careful examination of export control regulations. He also continuously optimises export control processes and is well versed in dual-use classification and tariff classification of goods.
He has demonstrated his skills in the successful completion of a foreign trade audit.
